Since it came out, I’ve been glancing casually at the PS3 every now and then. While it is an awesome gaming platform, there weren’t any games that really tickled my fancy… Until now.

WipEoutHD is the latest in the WipEout series of combat racers, one of my favourite serieses of games. Something tells me this will be causing a very large chunk of cash to disappear from my bank account, and a PS3 and 50″ plasma to appear miraculously in my lounge room.

Upcoming expansion pack for Star Wars: Empire at War

Back in February, there was a revolution in Star Wars strategy games: one was released that wasn’t utterly horrible. Far from it, in fact. Empire at War turned out to be a cunning blend of large-scale, turn-based strategizing and up-close-and-personal tactical battles on land and in space. Forces of Corruption is Empire at War’s upcoming expansion pack, and adds a new playable faction (an interstellar crime syndicate), new units for both Imperial and Republic forces, a choice blend of multiplayer tweaks, and more.

New updates for Steam and CS:S

A new update has just been released for Steam and Counter Strike: Source. This update will include a range of different patches including fixes for the Source engine, updates for SourceTV as well as repairs for some garbled fonts.

The most interesting one is an update for Counter Strike Source called “Dynamic Weapon Pricing”. We’re a little interested as to what this includes, so new information will be posted when we have it.
