About Astro

Astro is Leigh Henderson. Leigh is currently living in Melbourne, a river city in Victoria, the south-eastern state of mainland Australia.

At the age of twelve, Leigh attended his first role playing game, and quickly started realising he was a geek. He studied hard through high school, and planned to become a pilot for the royal australian air force.

When he graduated High School, Leigh went on to University to study in computer sciences, but after 6 months was offered a prestigious position with a major regional internet service provider. He started immediately as a web developer, but was quickly transferred to the operations department as a Linux system administrator.

Since then he has tried a number of different jobs to see if information technology is the right career path for him. He has so far been: An advertising salesman, a radio announcer, an apprentice chef, a mechanic, a tree surgeon, a greenkeeper and even spent six months during the dot com crash experimenting with unemployment.

Since then he has worked as a Linux system administrator, and in the summer of 2001, he made the transition to the voice industry with a role as a system engineer on Avaya corporate telephone systems.

He currently works as a senior voice engineer on the Alcatel line of communication systems.

He still attends role playing games whenever he can.
